Hi Tim,

Sorry for the late response. That's a great question. The BFST is a unique product possessing much proprietary information. We have worked hard at improving upon existing technologies and have created a product that is by and far more effective at healing soft tissue.

What I can say is that the BFST is a form of Diathermy that uses electromagnetic energy to stimulate blood flow within deep soft tissue. I have copied in below a link to a research paper written about electromagnetic energy therapy. While this paper does not explain the BFST in full, differs on some aspects altogether and lacks specifics with regards to power density, the research still does touch upon many of the same attributes. The paper gives a brief overview of electromagnetic energy therapy as well as case studies. Our testimonials page is a great resource to see how people have benefited from our products specifically, I highly recommend taking a look at that as well.

As a Customer Service Advisor my main focus is on helping our customers get the best out of our products. However we can definitely appreciate that our customers are in pain, possibly unable to work or compete athletically and are looking for a little more information before giving the products a trial (with our 30 day return policy). For this reason we will be updating this section with research topics and papers periodically and more than welcome any questions.

Hi everyone!

Another article here with relevance to the BFST. This paper compares deep heating via diathermy (which the BFST is a form of) versus superficial heating therapy (heat pads) for pain relief and improved function in knees suffering from osteoarthritis. Follow the first link for an abstract on the study and it’s results or follow the second link for the full paper.

First a quick recap from King Brand on the BFST vs Heat Pads:

The BFST wraps penetrate deep beneath the skin to reach all soft tissues; from the surface of the skin to the core of your body, they actively stimulate blood flow and lymphatic circulation. As the BFST reaches deep within your tissues it stimulates those tissues that are actually in need of blood flow!

Heating pads on the other hand penetrate the skin only and as a result leave the underlying tissues, the actual tissues suffering, unaffected. Don’t just take our word for it though, check out the article below!

Questions and comments welcomed!
