Meniscus Poor Blood Supply(white zone)
« on: September 09, 2015, 10:34:44 PM »
So i have a radial meniscus tear on the lateral side, since its in the white zone, which means blood supply is pretty poor...

In that case, how much will the BFST help?

Hi Justreal, thank you for your enquiry.

Although the white zone of the meniscus gets very little blood flow, it is living tissue, so it does get some. Using the BFST will promote more blood flow to the area, which will help accelerate the healing process. Increasing the blood flow increases the amount of oxygen and nutrients to the area, and seeing how the white zone is poorly circulated, the use of the BFST will be very beneficial.

I hope this has answered your question. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any more questions or concerns.

Kind regards,
Amber
