Why wait 30 minutes between hot and cold
« on: August 01, 2013, 02:08:48 PM »
I was told by a company rep that I should wait half an hour between switching between hot and cold treatment. What is the reason for this? Can you explain in some detail the reason(s)? What would happen if you didn't wait the half hour?

Hi mindy,

Thanks for the post, and that is an excellent question!

You should allow your bodies temperature to stabilize before switching from ColdCure to BFST; with ColdCure treatments it decreases swelling and circulation. By allowing your bodies temperature to stabilize, it will allow the BFST treatment to be more effective. As for BFST transitioning to ColdCure, you should allow 3-4 hour after a BFST treatment to treat with ColdCure because the ColdCure treatment right after, or within a short amount of time will negate any progress the BFST treatment has made. BFST will stimulate your blood flow and a treatment of ColdCure would cancel out the benefits of a 20 minute BFST treatment.

The best way to treat is to apply BFST (provided there is no inflammation present) then allow 3-4 hours before you apply ColdCure. If you are active, then treat with BFST before your activity, then treat with ColdCure after the activity to reduce any swelling from the activity itself.
