Joint Pain & Diet
« on: June 14, 2013, 08:39:36 PM »
Do you have any specific views on how one's diet can affect joint pain? I've been doing some research on the effects of grains and gluten and I'm wondering your opinion.

Hi eightthirty,

Diet can be the source of most health issues, and altering your diet or eliminating certain foods from your diet can help immensely.

Foods like sugar, alcohol, dairy, and soy products, can contribute to inflammation problems, and drinks like coffee and soft drinks do not help at all.

Eating more fruits and vegetables, which contain natural anti-inflammatories, will help reduce the amount of inflammation in your body. Vegetables like Kale, are high in antioxidants, which helps ease away pain. Spices like Turmeric contain high amounts of anti-inflammatory properties.

There are many studies to support many theories, but a healthy diet and lifestyle is always the best choice.
