Treatment Questions / Re: FHL tendinitis
« on: April 24, 2015, 02:25:29 PM »
Hello chapoupi,

I would recommend even more strict guidelines, above just not running, if you wish to get back to training quickly.  The key would be to avoid causing further damage.
If at all possible, I would suggest that you stay off that leg completely, even if it means using crutches for the time being.  Treatment can be successful, but strict compliance is strongly recommended.

The R.C.C.E. regime should be followed initially until the inflammation is under control. You have started with our cold wrap which is important to decrease the inflammation.  The next step will be to increase the bloodflow to speed up the healing process by using the BFST Plantar wrap. BFST treatments are designed to heal your injury or condition by increasing blood flow deep within the soft tissue. The BFST is a diathermic device which emits electromagnetic energy, which is a radiant energy (frequency/waves), that penetrates deep down to increase blood flow and to draw nutrient-rich, oxygenated blood to the affected area, thereby promoting the body's natural healing process.  Treatments would be 20 minutes in duration approximately every 3-4 hours (or as you can fit it throughout your daily schedule).  Using our KB Support Tape for ongoing compression and protection between BFST treatments, and the overnight period will also help.  Basically you would want to follow the regimen until activity is pain free and there is no increase in symptoms.

Although you want to get back to training, you cannot rush the healing process.  You can speed it up by following the above recommendations but getting back in the game prematurely can cause reinjury.  You definitely don't want to cause any permanent damage that could impact your ability to resume training.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of our Treatment Advisors with any further questions.

Kind regards,

Patricia

Questions & Answers About Our Company / Re: USD VS CAD
« on: March 22, 2015, 07:32:39 PM »
Hi Michelle!  To answer your question, King Brand has had to change their pricing to reflect the cost of the dollar. It was simply just getting too costly to ship to our Canadian Customers.  Previously, we charged for our products in the currency of the customer's country (CAD for Canadians or USD for United States).  Base pricing on the website never changed.  We waited as long as we could but had to come to a decision as to how we could still be cost efficient and provide the best service and products to all of our customers.  The choice was either to increase the price and charge in CAD to our Canadian customers, or, simply charge in USD and have the Credit Card companies handle the exchange rate.  Ultimately, the decision to charge in USD, in the long run, is the best for our Canadian customers as it will be the closest to what the current dollar value is on any given date.  In the future, as the dollar closes the gap, the exchange rate will change faster than we will be able to reflect it in our pricing.  I hope this helps answer your question.  Kind Regards, Patricia

Hello ecook, In regards to this parcel, unfortunately, we have still not received it back yet.  The tracking information has not changed, which only states "refused" and the date.  We currently have an investigation open in regards to this parcel and are doing what we can from our end to retrieve it.  Unfortunately, sometimes USPS is not in as much of a hurry to return a parcel to the originating location after a refusal - They no longer consider it a priority, unlike parcel delivery.  As of today, this order has still not arrived back at the distribution centre.  We are waiting on responses, but will keep you posted on any progress.  Once receipt is confirmed, we will immediately process your refund.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately this situation is currently out of our control.  If you would like to discuss this matter in further detail, please do not hesitate to contact us at our toll free number.  1-877-661-5239.  Kind Regards, Patricia

Hello, we will actually honour the 30 day money back guarantee from the date of receipt as opposed to the order date.  In regards to product evaluation time, overall results vary dependent on use, extent of injury etc. However, consensus from the majority of our customer base is that they feel a "noticeable" improvement within 2 weeks or less of using our products.  Some ailments are more prominent and painful than others, such as plantar fasciitis.  For this ailment alone, it seems the improvement happens even earlier than the 2 weeks.  Probably because people are on their feet just for basic movements, and the pain in this ailment is so severe that the results would be so much more noticeable sooner.  By using our products as per our recommended treatment instructions, you would definitely know if the product is working for you within the 30 day timeframe.  If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Patricia

Treatment Questions / Re: Response to BFST treatments
« on: June 05, 2014, 11:54:46 AM »
For me, it seems to depend.  With the BFST ankle I feel a light tingling sensation and not much warmth at all.  Almost feels like pins and needles but not intense at all.  With the BFST Back I don't feel much at all.  The warmth is so slight, even at a level 3, that I regularly look at the controller to make sure it is still on.  I definitely notice a difference afterwards though, as soon as it shuts off it feels instantly cool.  Recently I have used the BFST Elbow and noticed slight warming at level 1, which felt soothing and comfortable.  During the course of the treatment my fingers got a little "tingly" but that was about it.  Regardless of what I felt during these treatments, the area I treated did feel looser afterwards.  The most amazing recovery I had was with sciatica that was caused due to a tight piriformis muscle.  In only 5 weeks I was back in commission with full range of motion.

Treatment Questions / Re: Piriformis Syndrome
« on: December 23, 2013, 02:05:03 PM »
Hello,  I actually was suffering not long ago with a tight piriformis which caused major sciatica issues.  My biggest issue was standing from a sitting position without excruciating pain, or being able to fully extend my right leg flat out in front of me when seated.  The ColdCure back was a wonderful product.  First thing in the morning, I would use the first gel (out of the fridge, not freezer) for about 30min, then I would swap it out for a 2nd cold one.  By about 15 min through the second gel, my pain was substantially gone and I could function again.  I used the BFST 2-3 times per day around my schedule.  I went to physio two times per week for 3 weeks and was down to once a week for only 2 more weeks and then I was released.  Physiotherapy consisted of stretching exercises (both done by myself and manually by the physiotherapist).  After each session they applied cold (to decrease inflammation caused from working the area during the physio session) followed by some form of therapy (electric currant; laser; ultrasound etc., basically to stimulate the bloodflow)  At home I would follow my regular treatment regimen of BFST and ColdCure as well.  My physiotherapist was amazed at how quickly my condition improved since typically, sessions are usually 3 times per week for 6 weeks or more.  It was probably more due to the fact that I didn't have to wait for my physio appointments in order to keep my bloodflow stimulated.  I was able to continue, not only my stretching exercises, but was also able to use my products at home in between sessions.  When first starting physio, I could not lift my right leg to even a 45 degree angle (while laying flat on my back).  Within the 5 weeks (only 8 physio treatments) my leg could be extended way past a 90 degree angle.  I now have full range of motion and absolutely no pain whatsoever.
