Title: haglund's deformity
Post by: Wayne on December 10, 2016, 03:23:15 PM
just got x-ray on my left foot which shows spurring of the calcaneous which is consistent with haglund's deformity. It also says surgery is an option but outcomes of success are not high.

I already have plantar/heel inferno and freeze wraps, yet I'm thinking that perhaps the achilles wrap might be beneficial also.

Thoughts?

Wayne,
In terms of the treatment area of both the BFST and ColdCure wraps for the foot, they both go slightly up the heal.  If you find that they are not reaching the area needed, the Achilles may be the way to go.  Please note that the achilles wraps have a cut out at the heal to enable the wrap to confirm around the achilles.  If you find the area needed  is higher than the treatment are=a of the foot than the achilles should target better.
From what I know, Haglunds can cause bursitis in which the ColdCure would be very beneficial.  Then by using the BFST routinely, this should help prevent the inflammation from building up too much and manage the injury.
I hope this helps, please let us know if you have any further questions.

Ashley
