Hi guys..was diagnosed with a 12 mm tear on medial side.. My knee kind of gets stiff and need to stretch it out to get a silent pop which will restore better range. Iv injured it in May of 2015.. and been kind of waiting for it to heal.. but iv been walking and limping on it.. i also used KT tape on the medial side VMO. I noticed that my other knee also began to have some slight pain because of all the limping iv been doing. I can feel this stinging pain on medial side when i bend down to pick something up. I have this wobbly feeling..and some clicking.. Was on MRI. Help me if you can please. :'(

KoCrm, Thank you for your interest in King Brand and sorry to hear about your injury.
A 12 mm tear is pretty significant and may be difficult to heal fully on its own. However, by keeping inflammation down and then using the BFST, you will provide at the very least some relief. You will also heal more effectively then on your own without the treatments. The knee itself has little blood flow to begin with, so with adding an injury and inflammation, that tissue isn't getting the nutrient rich blood it needs to heal.
One 20 minute treatment with the BFST will optimize the blood flow through the knee for a good 3-4 hours after. 3-5 treatments a day would be ideal to start the healing process. I would suggest continuing with taping your knee to help with support throughout the day to day. When you do receive the product, treat your other knee as well. It is very common to injure your other knee due to over compensating. Clicking in the knee generally is nothing too much to worry about as long as that click isn't associated with pain. Once your knee gets more conditioned to the increased blood flow and a better range of motion, you may find the clicking isn't as bad. Also, please remember to keep up with ColdCure therapy. The less inflammation you have in the knee the better the BFST will work for you.

Hi Ashley thanks 8) He also mentions something about the anterior cruciate ligament having a little scare tissue on it.. and some bone marrow edema.. ouch.. What is all that ? :(
They do mention that its a low injury..

Definitely something to discuss further with your Doctor. Scar tissue cannot be be broken down with increased blood flow and bone marrow edema is when fluid is found within the bone. Again, stimulated blood flow will not fix this condition. However, increased blood flow to the area will provide relief and help heal the soft tissue tear.
The fact that they mentioned it is a low injury is good news for you.

Was told the tear is a bidirectional tear.. at the medial horn.. Im so lost with all this.. and my leg gets really stiff... :o

Hi KoCrm. I am really sorry to hear the stiffness and pain you have been experiencing. As mentioned, the stimulated blood flow the BFST promotes, will help lubricate the knee and will help with the stiffness. Along with the relief it will provide, it will also help nourish the meniscus and aid in the healing of the soft tissue damage. Hello Amber thanks for taking this time. I will hear more from my doctor this week.. he will tell me if it needs surgery and physio or if it will heal on its own. My Chiropractor said that meniscus injury cannot heal because of low blood flow. Is he right ? Thanks guys .. Iv joined your facebook page. :)

The meniscus does get very little blood flow, but it is a living tissue, so it does get some. Left on it's own to heal, it can be a very long, difficult recovery. That is why the Knee BFST is one of our most popular treatments. Promoting blood flow to the knee is very advantageous and will accelerate your healing and reduce the pain and stiffness you are experiencing. I recommend discussing the treatment further with your doctor for direction on how to proceed.

Yes i will hear from him first thing on Monday and will let you know...id love to go this route.. i can still walk with my leg.. but i watch every move i make lol.. but cant bear to much weight on it though.. so my other one is working twice has hard. Err im kinda walking the way Terry Fox would walk. :(

Sorry the 'add file' function isn't working for you KoCrm. We, however, are not trained to read MRI results or make hypotheses on doctors diagnoses. I would discuss the treatment with him and go from there. I wish you all the best and hope he can give you some encouraging advice as to what decision to make in regards to treatment.
