Title: meniscus tear
Post by: islandboy101 on November 10, 2021, 06:27:29 PM
hey guys
thought id pop here to ask for help regarding an injury if bfst can help.
i am currently nursing a knee injury, tear in the lateral meniscus requiring surgery. since here in the pacific, there arent any qualified knee surgeons, i have to wait until boarders open until i can hopefully get my knee sorted.  with my knee when i bend it past the the 90 degree angle it will lock, i wont be able to straighten it again unless i apply pressure from behind the knee while trying to straighten my knee to release my knee from locking. it is a temporary fix for when it locks. but seeing all these positive feedbacks with regards to bfst i am asking if bfst has any products that can help me my knee recover to a point where i can play rugby (full time job) and avoid surgery since surgery is never a 100% guarantee.
any help or from admin would be much appreicated.

Hi islandboy101,

Meniscus "Repair" Surgery almost always involves cutting away torn sections of the Meniscus. The name is misleading. Very seldom does Meniscus Repair Surgery actually repair or stitch back together your Meniscus. The procedure usually gets rid of the pain by getting rid of the tissue, not fixing the actual problem. Meniscus Surgery should really be a last resort.

If you want to heal your Meniscus as quickly and completely as possible, you need a proactive treatment solution. While rest will help you avoid doing any further damage to your Meniscus, rest alone is not enough to accelerate the healing process. If you want to get back to doing your regular activities like playing rugby, in a reduced amount of time, you need our BFST and ColdCure Knee Wraps.

Wear a ColdCure Knee Wrap as much as possible to relieve your pain and swelling and protect your Meniscus from further damage. It's important to understand that while cold therapy is an essential first step to healing, cold itself won't heal your underlying injury. The purpose of cold is to eliminate your inflammation and help with the pain. The BFST should not be used until the inflammation and pain are gone from the affected area, because you want to restrict the blood vessels when you have pain and swelling, not open them up. Blood flow therapy works to speed up the healing process for tissue that's no longer painful or swollen.

After the swelling and inflammation have been reduced, you will want to begin using the BFST Knee Wrap and doing 3-4 treatments throughout the day. The most important treatments are first thing in the morning and right before you go to bed. The treatment first thing in the morning will act as a "warm-up" for your knee, and the treatment right before bed will help your circulation improve as you sleep. You will also want to use the BFST before any physical activity. This will help you heal quickly. The BFST stimulates blood flow through your Meniscus while you are at rest. This is very important because while at rest, an unaided and inflamed Meniscus can otherwise have seriously impeded blood flow. It is the oxygen and nutrient-rich blood that enables the healing process, so adequate blood flow is required for the Meniscus tissue to heal properly and quickly.

Finally, you will want to use KB Support Tape to avoid reinjuring the area as much as possible. KB Support Tape is designed to provide tissue with extra support, and also helps prevent re-injury. KB Support Tape can be worn any time but it is most important during physical activity.

Using these three products, the ColdCure Knee Wrap, BFST Knee Wrap and KB Support Tape will help to heal your Meniscus Tear. If you have any further questions, or would like to speak to a treatment advisor, please feel free to contact us at 844-400-2525.

Thank you for getting back to me.  do appreciate it alot.

Well at the moment, my knee isnt swelling or anything i am able to walk properly its just when i jog or run that my knee locks. with extremely limited treated here in the pacific, i was advised to try a treatment with the use of a TENS machine. i do know its purpose is to release built up muscle stress to allow blood flow and such but according to this doctor i am seeing he has used the same treatment on 2 other patients who had worse injuries than mine and are now fully recovered and back to playing rugby but this is roughly 3-4 months of treatment. i have had 2 appointments so far as far as taking jointace pills.

with regards to your products, shipping will surely be a bit of a struggle but how much would it be and in what currency?
cheers,

Hi islandboy101,

The shipping cost would be in U.S. Dollars. As for the price of the shipping, that would depend on where you are located and which you products you would like to purchase as that would affect the weight of the package. You can contact us if you would like more information at 844-400-2525.

Hello, I have a meniscus tear that is fairly significant.  I don't have a lot of pain but it is sore to walk and i have swelling.  Will your BFST and coldcure products actually heal this tear so i don't need to have surgery or is these products more like this will help a 60% or 70% of injuries.  I guess what I am asking is if this is 100% or close?  I really do not want surgery but i don't want to put it off if I try this and it doesn't work for me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Hi islandboy101,

We do not recommend using TENS machines for soft tissue injuries. TENS machines deliver electric current to the nerves which is mean to reduce pain. It does not help to heal soft tissue and can often times be harmful to the healing process. By blocking pain, you could be reinjuring your body without realizing it. We recommend using the ColdCure Wrap to help reduce pain, swelling and inflammation.
